MOL Streamlined New Chemical Substances Registration to Bring Greater Convenience in the OSHA

To reduce the initial impact of new chemicals registration on business, the MOL Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) streamlines information requirement for new chemical substances subject to Article 11 and Article 12 of “Regulation of New Chemical Substances Registration,” that eligible registrants can apply for registration by submitting information as specified in Appendix 6 and Appendix 3 with reduced requirements. This shall effectively ease transitional compliance burden facing enterprises and provide with greater convenience to enterprises. Approvals are ready to be issued for registration under Article 11 of Regulation of New Chemical Substances Registration” Hard copies of approved registration documents will be issued out later to the registrants. Inter-agency cooperation efforts toward a single window registration for receiving dossier are ongoing. With improved convenience, both to the public and to the business, the MOL aimed to attain best practice in new chemical registration and ensure healthy and safe working conditions for all workers.
